In Georgia, firefighters rescued a dog that had made its way into the engine compartment of a man’s vehicle.
According to Marietta city officials, a motorist noticed a dog in the middle of the road, and when he tried to help, the pup ran under his car and eventually made its way into the engine compartment.
The team from Engine 54 of the Marietta Fire Department arrived at the location.
According to a Facebook post by the city, the dog was discovered trapped between the engine air box and a firewall, and the top cover of the air box was removed to improve access.
Additional parts of the vehicle had to be dismantled by firefighters to safely remove the dog.
The canine emerged from the ordeal unscathed and was handed over to Cobb County Animal Services.
The city stated that the firefighters reconstructed the car after rescuing the dog, allowing the driver to resume driving.
