Louis, an African Grey parrot residing in a Sheffield pub, has been prohibited from watching action movies due to its tendency to use foul language, causing discomfort to the establishment’s employees and patrons.
The speaker claims that the parrot can be well-behaved at times, but it sometimes surprises people by suddenly uttering an inappropriate word. When the bird goes into a fit, it repeatedly shouts the F-word, which creates problems for the speaker. Despite the speaker’s attempts to discipline the parrot, the bird’s behavior continues to deteriorate, and the situation is becoming increasingly embarrassing.
The owner of the pub disclosed that the parrot can produce sounds such as “oi” or chirping, as well as noises resembling taking a picture with a camera on a mobile phone.
The parrot becomes highly vocal and agitated when it goes on a profanity-laden outburst.
In the past, the parrot didn’t speak any recognizable words; it merely imitated sounds from toys because it lived in a household with a baby.
The parrot has picked up some words from films being played on the TV, as the speaker had the bird upstairs.
“In some of the films, there’s some language in them so he’s picked up some of the character’s words such as the F-word.”
The publican has now put up a sign to warn customers about the dirty bird.
He hopes Louis’ language will eventually improve as he’s now been banned from watching telly.
“He’s not watching TV now, he’s watching customers so he should pick more stuff up.” he said.
“It will fade out.
“He will pick up new words now he’s downstairs.
“He will pick up different, less rude, words.”
Mate, this is a pub we’re talking about. You’re about to have a bunch of drunk lads try to teach him the ‘C word’.
